- What is LicenseStream Production?
LicenseStream Production is a system developed to provide advertisers with quality video content, without the hassle of hiring a full production team.
The basic principle of the system is; a client (the advertisers) choose from a list of video shoot packages on the LicenseStream Production system and customizes a shot list to fill his/her needs.
Once the client completes the order online, a job alert is sent to the 10 videographers in the systems that are closest to the shoot.
The first videographer to accept the job is given the exclusive rights to complete the job for the determined pay.
An email, along with the job order on the videographers account will provide all the pertinent information for the shoot (i.e. location, shot list, equipment needed, etc.).
Once the video is shot on a day agreed upon by the videographer and location contact, the videographer uploads each individual clip into the system.
After being checked by "Content specialist" the client is then able to download each clip/shot and use it in any number of video advertising mediums.
- What do I need to participate in LicenseStream Production?
It is very easy to become a LicenseStream Production videographer. You will need first and foremost to be a current WEVA member. If you are not currently a WEVA member, you can click
here to Register for a membership.
You will also need to have been a professional videographer for a minimum of 2 years.
- How do I opt into the system and start to receive jobs?
Opting into the system is as easy as 1-2-3!
- Simply go to www.curbstream.com/weva and click on the Register link located underneath the log in box.
- Fill out the form completely, choose a password, and agree to the terms and conditions.
- Once you have successfully registered, you will receive a confirmation email. As jobs are assigned you will be alerted via email to let you know that a job is available in your area. The first videographer to accept the job will have exclusive rights to shoot and be compensated for that job.
- What kind of equipment will I need for the shoots?
At present, you will be eligible for jobs with LicenseStream Production with the basic equipment you use to shoot weddings or events. Those items are:
- A standard DV camera
- A full digital editing suite
- A DSL or higher internet connection
Videographers with access to more advanced equipment, such as lighting packages and green screens, will be eligible for special jobs that require that equipment, and in turn be eligible for more jobs.
- How long will the average shoot take?
The average shoot should take in the vicinity of 2 hours. However there could be shoots that take up to 4-5 hours. The videographer will be compensated for the number of shoots assigned by the client, so the length of the shoots really relies on the videographer and the length of the shot list.
- How complicated is the video upload process?
The video upload process has been streamlined to reduce the time needed for the videographer to spend at the computer.
Once all of the shots are cut into individual clips the videographer will log into his/her LicenseStream Production account at
www.licensestream.com/LSProduction Use the upload link located in the corresponding assignment line.
At any time you can use the "Help" tab and view flash video of this complete process and other useful information.
- How can I expect to receive payment for a completed job?
Once a job is uploaded it is put into a queue to be reviewed by a quality control specialist. They will check that the shot description was met, the quality is acceptable, and that the clip is in the correct format size, resolution, and frame rate.
Once a shoot is approved by the client a check will be mailed to you within 30 days
- What does a typical shoot entail?
On the day of the shoot, the videographer is required to arrive at least 15 minutes before the scheduled shoot time and dressed in a professional manner. Once there, the videographer will meet with the Shoot Liaison to go over shoot plan. The videographer will work with the liaison in a professional and courteous manner to complete the shoot, once the shoot is competed and the liaison has viewed and approved the content the videographer will return to their studio with the raw footage.
The videographer will edit the raw footage into individual clips to match the shot list provided and will upload each clip into the LicenseStream Production system.
Once all the clips are uploaded they will be reviewed by an ImageSpan administrator to check for quality and content. If accepted, the videographer's job is done. If the quality or content is not acceptable the videographer may be required to either re-cut the material or as a last resort, to schedule a re-shoot.
