ImageSpan/WEVA Finish Beta Tests; Jobs Representing $5- $10 Million To Be Available at WEVA EXPO
Sarasota, FL - Orders for thousands of weekday shooting assignments for WEVA members, representing an immediate infusion of millions of dollars to the membership nationwide, will be available for priority fulfillment to WEVA members attending WEVA EXPO 2006 August 21-24, 2006. Click Here.
With beta testing of ImageSpan's new IT system now successfully completed, project "Curbstream" is ready to release the first wave of agency and corporate orders for video shoots, which represents an initial $5-$10 million, to the WEVA membership nationwide.
"The beta testing, as we announced earlier, involved the shooting and uploading of local and regional brand and product video into the new IT system by WEVA members. The entire test phase was a huge success! It confirmed the new "Curbstream" system is ready for The Global Power Launch at WEVA EXPO 2006 in August," said WEVA International's Director of Association Communications Dan Argenas.
"Over 50 shots for Nissan were uploaded into the "Curbstream" system during the beta test," he said. "Those individual video clips were then tested further by building them into an auto-dealer demo cable spot. The quality and composition of the clips were perfect for the application the national agency needed."
The grand opening of the new WEVA National Job Registry, available to WEVA members only, will be held at WEVA EXPO 2006. Registration will be conducted during WEVA EXPO 2006 Trade Show hours. "There is no cost to opt-in for the job assignments," said Argenas. "The weekday shoots in this initial phase will be distributed on a priority basis to members who register at WEVA EXPO 2006, where the flow of thousands of new video jobs will begin."
At WEVA EXPO 2006, members will be able to attend IT system orientation sessions to learn how to upload their video content, and be involved with a hands-on demonstration on how to receive their job orders, shoot and complete the assignments, and receive payment for each job all online. "The ImageSpan IT system is very user-friendly. The entire "Curbstream" process from uploading the content to receiving payment can be completed in less than 20 minutes at a computer," Argenas said.
"With the new system now in place," said ImageSpan CEO Iain Scholnick, "we have the unique ability to provide a flexible, local and national advertising network that addresses the need for brand-consistent and localized advertising content in a seamless and easy-to-use platform. We are veyr pleased to be partnering with WEVA in this new venture as we have witnessed first hand their members' dedication to providing a professional video product."
At this time, said Argenas, "thousands of initial jobs are already waiting in line for the Global Launch at EXPO. Agencies are ready now to begin receiving quality video from WEVA members for use in local cable TV spots, Internet advertising, video email promotions, mobile video (cell phones) and other personal video devices."
An individual shoot, such as an assignment to shoot brief exterior and interior shots of a local auto dealership, can be completed in just a few hours or less during a weekday. "No editing will be required. Job assignments will be very shot-specific so that the shots can be meta-tagged by the IT system, and then added for local identification to pre-built national advertising spots," Argenas added.
At the exciting Global Power Launch set for WEVA EXPO 2006 at spectacular Mandalay Bay, the ImageSpan - Curbstream team will be present to welcome WEVA members to register for the shooting assignments, and to experience first-hand the future of Video Content Management technology that will deliver new weekday work that can become a profitable part of a WEVA member's business workflow.
"This is made possible by the market penetration of broadband, and the expansion of professional video into IT, mobile, and portable video," said Argenas. "It's what WEVA has been predicting and our members have been anticipating. Through our association's new strategic initiatives, WEVA is once again on the cutting-edge, leading our industry forward."
